Ohio State Reformatory, Mansfield

The Reformatory was constructed by Robert Greenway Handcock, following the architecture of a German castle. Handcock's stone cutting knowledge and ability to interpret plans turned the prison into the structure with the beautiful turreted parapets shown above. Some of these ornate towers have been removed from the building since then.
